Team Gear Requirements

A team jersey is required for any student who wishes to race and is highly recommended for all riders.
A lightweight jacket must be carried on every ride. The Voler team jacket is not required but is an ideal option to meet this requirement.
While padded shorts are not required, most riders find them essential for comfort.

New Racers:

Prefer looser t-shirt fit: Endurance Air Tee
Prefer tighter, cycling race fit: Classic Jersey

Team shorts are completely optional. Any bike shorts you find comfortable are great, and you do not need to purchase the team shorts.

Some riders prefer the Voler shorts, while others choose their own. Serious racers often opt for bibs or padded Lycra shorts, but ultimately, wear whatever you find most comfortable.

You’ll see a wide variety of styles at practices and races—from loose-fitting bike shorts to fitted race Lycra—so there’s no single “right” choice.
